After almost a year chasing the mess that a local suspension "bmw race specialist" shop did to my coilover install its finally sorted. I was getting an annoying knock on mild bumps from the rear. Turns out the bottom strut bolts had been overtighetend, stripped and couldn’t be removed. Finally fixed it today by just threading on an m10 bolt under them and hand tightening them, the shocks now don’t spin on themselves. The car feels so much tighter and less like driving a hooptie bag of bolts =D now 2 years without seeing a mechanic.... My luck should run out soon

A shop stripping out a suspension bolt and not fixing it is unforgivable, because you can feel when you've just stripped a bolt.

It’s such a bad feeling, like dropping your wallet down a sewer or something...

This was the last of the issues. Main thing was he didn’t install the rear spring height adjusters so the car was super low. Blamed me (even though I gave the setup was all in a brand new sealed box). Charged me for the fix. And then installed the springs and height adjuster upside down. Ended up taking it home and doing it all myself. I only got him to do it because I was busy away with work at the time. Lesson learn, diy only
